This is an excellent piece of artwork. Scales never looked this good. Might want to add some more explosions in background to truly create a sense of battle but that is just personal taste and will not affect your score. I LOVE this entry!

I really, really like this, but the fire looks very flat and it looks very painted on. Either way i'm giving this high marks because this is really fantastic, i just wanted to mention that. Good luck!

Thanks for all the comments guys. I made a few changes to the flames from the wepon, hope it looks better. Also posted the link for the brush. Wazowski THX 1138 might put ya to sleep LOL apart from a small car chase its really slow. Kinda cool is if you look at John Milner's license plate in American Graffiti it's THX 138.

I wanted to add some background, but since nothing nice came to my mind instead of ruining the picture with some unfitting background i decided to leave it white. this way the dragon is in the center of attention not some unnecessary background.
anyway I'm happy with it the way it is,so I hope it's OK with you if i'll just leave it the way it is.

Thanks to all for the comments I have to disappoint those who insist on changing the whole mood of the image. It is a small world on a plant's leaf. Adding more shadows, highlights and increasing the contrast only could turn it into a mess and more fit for the previous week's chrome contest. I want you to see the tiny guy, his house and plants, not shadows and highlights

Reminds me of Frylock. I like the creative approach you took to this project and the face is very well thought out. The only thing I would change is the background; It seems a little plain when compared to your central focus image. Still, great job!

Excellent use of the source file to create this crossbow. I'm not sure if I like the golden plaque it is hanging on (maybe more of a bronze/brownish color?) but your manipulaton of the photo is top notch. Also, just to nitpick, why is the crossbow hanging on a brick wall? I think the image would be more effective if you placed it on an ordinary living room wall (with maybe a hint of a fireplace/mantle poking out from the bottom). In any event, I love this work and wish you the best!

Agree with magicsteve...perhaps tone down the saturation of the yellow. Minus some yellow in yellows in selective color. This might help.

The crossbow in Step 1 is great, but after that I don't get the point. What does all the purple mean? Why is the display plaque that odd shape? I also think a less shiny, eye-catching plaque would display the crossbow better (which should be the center of attention). Actually, I think a plaque is unnecessary when mounting directly onto an interesting wall would be sufficient.
