Creation of dragón: Step 1

step 2 of 3

used some other parts of the image, warped, multiplied warped again and again, burned, dodged, liquified to make the body.

then added flames, smoke, shadows and reflection and some other details, adjusted colors and got the final image.

Creation of dragón: Step 2

step 3 of 3

fire started like some bony scales:
for the scales i used cut, mirror and warp, then duplicated several times.

when i had all the scales i thought it would be a bit more spectacular if instead of simple bone scales i'd make some flames.

for this i colorized the scales, used smudge, levels then deleted some parts with an 50% opacity brush, duplicated, colorized again making it red this time, then changed layer with red flame to overlay blending mode and i had the flame.
something like that anyway.

there's probably an easier way to make flames, but since i already had the scales i thought it would be nicer to simply use those.
