Very pretty. You did an excellent job! A few small details: see the two lamps on the left side? The frontmost one still has the yellow from the previous image. The one at the back is a bid faded on the edges. Overall, I didn't even notice the rain until I read the title...I don't see any actual drops, just some steaks. Otherwise, I love what you did with the flower baskets and it definately looks like a place I'd want to live! Reply »

The work is clean and does look good, my point is that imagination and an original concept attracts greater interest and attention. We do have contests that are photo-retouching oriented from time to time and this would fare nicely in those. I never intend to offend rather to encourage your creativity. Yeah, I like this too. Where the water leaves the balconies looks a bit heavy but there it meets the ground looks great (detailed). I'd like to see a high res. Nice rain and rain drops. She'd have more shelter under the nearest right balcony but.. Very nice work and I looks forward to more too Reply »

@erikuri: Thanks for the comment. For the rain I add a new layer with a fill of 50% gray. Added noise and did a motion blur the direction of the rain. Then set the layer mode to overlay. For the rain coming off the balconies, I did another layer, went to layer styles. Changed the fill to 0% and added an inner glow. Then with a white brush 100% painted the falls. For the drops on the ground added another layer filled with gray. Added noise and then did charcoal filter. Adjusted the levels and then set the blend mode to screen. Then just adjusted the prospective of the layer. Hope this helps. Reply »

The water area in front of the ship should be a bit darker (because of the ship) and the waves should be stronger (by looking at the debris, I can imagine how fast and strong the collision is). Also, these debris seems to be big (I feel like the houses are made of ... wood or they are going to be collapsed before the collision). What I like the most is the water splash from the broken tube (high marks in this, because you have to think about the detail very well). Just some suggestions to make it more realistic, IMO. As for the waves, I wasn't quite sure to begin with...do you think a splash would work better? As for the debris chunks, are you saying they're too big? Sorry, I didn't quite get what you said there.
