One of the old masters would have been happy with this author!
Super image -- old masters would swoon
Utterly stunning, if the author had been anyone else I would have suspected a trip to a museum to photograph old masters, LOL.
Well done. I hope you were able to salvage some of this for a good dinner salad. The draped curtain is perfect and certainly adds to the old master feeling.
Roon,Rob,Alan,Vibeke & Pete....
Thank you for your encouraging words.
It is all ways a pleasure to read such nice comments!
I really thank you from the bottom of my heart...
I have a entry in this contest but I think I just see the winner entry Congratulation!

Absolutely stunning just like and old painting
Congratulations, it was a foregone conclusion that it would win, nothing to touch it. Inspiring.

Beautiful colours and set up, would have been even better IMO with a little more space on top and the jug not quite so centred.
I like the paneled background, but agree with Vibeke. Try a crop that cuts out a third of the right side of the image some of the top half of the decanter neck. Nice effort and composition.
Thanks for the comments .. this is my first still life and I know it can be improved ..
For example .. looking better, according to my taste, I would leave the subject in the center but actually with more space around ..
But now I can not take more pictures. . (I haven't enough time ... and also the fruit has been eaten )and any other shots that I have does not satisfy me. In addition I am always hesitant to change pictures when many people have already voted .. But I understand your point of view and keep in mind the suggestions for the next time. Thanks again

I see some walnuts there
You see good but walnuts are considered fruits http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walnut
How did you pour the wine with the bottle still uncorked? (nice shot, but you might want to reduce the yellows a little)
the bottle from picture is the second one ..first one I drink it until I made the setup
Thank you for the SBS on this. It helped a lot
