The final round of our first photoshop tournament! In this contest, the top 4 members of the previous round will be allowed to participate. These contestants will be announced on april 15 and april 16 - 2012. After this announcement, you will be able to submit your entry.
This round's winner will be awarded with $100!
This week's theme is: 3 objects
In this contest you need to have 3 objects to your photo:
- The PXL logo (in any shape or form) > you are free to recreate it yourself with materials / sources of your choice. You can download PXL LOGO with text in PSD and use it as inspiration.
- A burning candle.
- An animal, does not have to be alive, this can also be a statue.

nem: From how I understand the rules, you must never apply a graphic image in ps… Print it and stick it into your scenery for starters. Or you may use it as a template to arrange burning candles in the logo shape. Or you may use the print to blindfold an animal getting burned by that mandatory candle (statue only of course B-]) I guess you got the idea

nem: Just to have it said: if you put too many burning candles together the wax may start burning which yields a fireball. Quite dangerous stuff, so better don't try it at home … ( 5 years and 2563 days ago )

EmiK: Just a suggestion, but I think the final four should not comment on the others entries here as it is really easy to tell by process of elimination who's the author of the photo. Then again we all have such different styles that it's probably going to be easy to tell anyways. =) ( 5 years and 2562 days ago )

I thought it was a good idea when I started this set up, but it proved to be much harder then I thought. Here I took 4 pictures and combined them in to a panorama. I used only what is allowed in the rules to put this together. My light here is not the best, but if anything I hope you like my attempt. (5 years and 2558 days ago)

Nothing weird to see really...
I create the walls ( the letters P & L )with YTONG building blocks (a buildings construction material) witch is easy to handle ( you can delve into,cut it with a saw,give it any form imaginable ).I use 2 pieces of wood to create the letter X & i try to make it look like a gate ( the round handle in the middle & the nails across the diagonal).I paint the walls with a gray paint ( water based ) & a clear varnish for the wood to bring out the color & the texture of it.I left some candles burn for a day or two to create the "melting" effect on top of the L letter & use some chains to create a gate on letter P.
The ground is cat litter & the tree is just a branch.
About the owl...That was the hard part.The feathers are real & the owl is 100% handmade.I used sponge to create the shape of the owl & then using glue i place the feathers on it (small feathers about 2 cm long).I hope it is as realistic as i wanted it to be!!!
