I created this epic view from several pictures of temples and ruins! Lots of digital painting, shading, and coloring to get it all to blend together.

Thanks to Tasastock and RaeyenIrael-Stock for the image of the girls. (permission is in the SBS) (5 years and 2570 days ago)

Yes, very nicely done, like to see a tutorial for this one

Great image

The perspective on two of the bigger temples on the right are off though, might be able to fix that by rotating and or skewing it. Otherwise: good mood, great color combinations, I like the framing in the rocks... a classic epic game scene

Really great!

Just, for me, the "treestructure" on the left jumps a bit out; the dark shadow is a bit to hard compared to the building and the blending of the tree is not "yeah!". The tree you can easily solve by adding shadows to the leaves and with the use of a very small blur brush (say 3 pixels), make a new top layer and select all layers, and go over the edges of the leaves that will give you a better blending.

As a personal touch (what I would do that is ) is making the image a bit bigger at the bottom and emphasize the bare rocks a bit more, IMHO that will attract the attention more on the beautiful sky you've used. But that's what I would do, please don't do it if you don't want to: it's in the end your work and that's how it should be

One more thing: I see you have to credit the author of source 3: just add "thanks to vivekchugh" in your link to that source

Friends I have updated the image.

@robvdn - I have updated the image with "tree structure", let me know if it look nice! One more thing - bigger at I tried to increase bottom image but it is not going with the composition. But big thank you for your suggestions!

@ pshoudini : Thank you my friend, I used tree up front to create visual path for viewer.

@ Akassa - Good to know you like it, please check again in high res as I have updated the image.

bjaockx says:

the problem with the tree is that it is the only thing that looks pasted on... all the rest of the image looks great! a little more work on the tree is needed. i suggest you try to match the color of the tree t the rest of the image. you can do this by going to IMAGE > ADJUSTMENTS > MATCH COLOR. Make sure you have your tree layer selected, duplicate it, than do the match color. Match the color to the main background image, by selecting it form the drop boxes at the bottom of the dialog box that comes up. using the sliders adjust the settings till the tree matches the rest a little more.

@ bjaockx : Thank you for your valuable feedback my friend, but right now I am unable to upload the edited entry.

I will keep this in mind in my future work!

The building on the LH side has a decided off-kilter lean to it, and the frontmost building on the right tilts strangely into the water (perspective is inconsistent with the rest of the buildings - the parallel lines are off).
Also, your lighting is too narrow scoped, with a spotlight effect - the buildings on the right have shadows on the opposite side of the buildings on the left. The sun is far enough from our planet, (assuming that's where this is located), that the light is far more encompassing, and shadows are consistently on the same side in a scene such as this...

avatar pixelkid
pixelkid says:

This is really well done. Too bad there is no high res to view. MossyB makes a point about that building on the left. Perhaps skew it to the left a bit...and you're done! Nice job!

EDIT: Looks

It's too dark...With that large of a full moon, the ground would be illuminated, not pitch black with backlighting. The moon illuminates the entire planet, not just sections. In the fall, the "Harvest Moon" is so named because it illuminates the Earth enough that crops can be harvested at night.

avatar greymval
greymval says:

I like the mood. Yeah maybe the moon can cast more light, but I like it how it is.
It's like when the sun just set and your eyes don't instantly get used to the new light so everything is darker for a few minutes, before your pupils dilate.

avatar JPDesigns
JPDesigns says:

I didn't know that, MossyB, I learned something new today about the harvest moon. And I agree with greymval, I really like it. It looks like a really good photograph
