This is nice, I thought of the same kind of concept when I saw the image too!?!.... as good as it is I think it could be improved by paying some more attention to two areas;
(1) making sure the reflection matches the feet, especially the hind foot... it looks slightly off IMO
(2) Adding a little thickness to the spiral and rear opening......
Thanks JamesD, took another look and made those changes
Love this, well conceived concept and great execution.
Brilliant. The reflection really seals the all round punch. Well done.
Thanks everyone for the awesome comments!
I want to thank everyone for their votes!!!
good thinking...congrats for Top1

Most realistic entry so far, I like this one, I'm only waiting for someone to get rid of that middle line where the plastic was molded together. Think you might be able to do that with a clone tool would be my recommendation . If not this is still a great pic.
think I got it... Thanks!!
I like the overall 'story' feeling to this - like straight out the history books Yay about that middle line too.
Congrats on 2nd place!

The masking of the large animals right foot needs some work. I also would place the small one more to the front. They are now in the same horizontal plane with the feet, but the trunk and tusks overlap.
I agree about the placement of the little guy's feet.
congrats on 3rd

The two mastodonts are nicely blended, but the perspective of the candlestick does not match with the background. Speaking of that. What is the source of the background?
