
This entry uses the source and my own photo only. The SBS is brief because the methods were limited mostly to erasers and cloning with some brush work at the end. The soldier layer was divided into two so I could slightly blur the one to the rear. They were then set on Luminosity. (2 years and 177 days ago)
Thanks for your comments. Mossy, I considered the foreground at an early stage, and, living in the country, I decided there are a large variety of weeds & briers of all sizes and configurations so I left it alone. That being said, after your comment I duplicated the layer & cloned away some of the taller stuff. I then applied a layer mask to the top layer and gave the extreme foreground some blur to give some depth of field. After all, we wouldn't want things all wonky.

Fantastic concept author and i love it...Selection of color is top notch...also blending is done perfectly...i don't agree with Mossy about the grass... i opened your entry and watch in high resolution on 26" monitor but whole scene fits perfectly...well done author and instant fav from me...best of luck Reply »
