love the chop but its not rly cut in half o.o;

author says:

Hi Eladine well the contest says : "Show something as if it was cut in half or is opening up"
in this case its an open belly showing a baby inside coming out for some delicious treat.

avatar CMYK46
CMYK46 says:

What's been cut in half here? It's just a hole.

avatar Eladine
Eladine says:

id come out too for that if i was that baby the description wasnt rly clear on that for me.. I dont mind though i like your chop its so cute

author says:

Thanks Eladine for the compliment..
i think its a must a tiny fix on this one..im working on it..
thanks again.

author says:

Made a rectangle skin to make the illusion of a cut belly..i think this is gonna help..

avatar Robart523
Robart523 says:

Yes its not cut in half, but technically it is "opening up" in some way. So, I guess I'd say it counts. Why stunt someone's creativity/ have an entry removed from a contest with so few entries to begin with? Its not EXACTLY what the contest was for, but I don't think is far enough away from that to matter. Nice chop either way GL

author says:

Hi Robart523 thanks!
and yes i think this entry is going to be removed
i hope not!!,i tried to come close to the contest rules
but the mods certanly know what to do..
i had a blast doing this pic..no matter what.

avatar Eladine
Eladine says:

Cut out ear and copied to main image. Duplicated, flip, erased extras and changed blending mode, applied healing tool and blur and dodge. (5 years and 2787 days ago)

I think a better title would be, "Ears looking at you, kid..." LOL!
Very weird but well done!

avatar Drivenslush

Ear Lobe work could blend better on the cheek face in the middle of the image (a simple soft brush erase would fix it instantly... good idea.. creepy as hell LOL.. good luck!!

how to make the frog look perfectly with the pair of elephant. (5 years and 2843 days ago)

avatar MossyB
MossyB says:

The elephant is reflected in the mirror...The frog needs a reflection as well for consistency.

author says:

hi..thanks for the great suggestion,I'm grateful with you,i hope i can learn more.

avatar elemare
elemare says:

I like the colors! There's something very charming about the big frog and li'l elephant.

However, the "two" elephants don't work convincingly. Without a reflection of the frog (which would have been hard to achieve because of the angle of the shot that would have been needed), one elephant would have been better.

Also, for next time, watch the "leftover" background in spaces when masking. Specifically, there is original image "background" left uncut inside the curl of the elephants' trunks.

shadow on the 'vegetable'...(isn't it?) is wrong... g l

author says:

how do you mean hereisanoop?

avatar yoguy108
yoguy108 says:

the light source is coming from the right upper side' you can see it on the wall of the house
the light source on the veg is from the other side and that`s wrong.

avatar elemare
elemare says:

The easiest way to solve your shadow and light problem, author, is to flip the "marble" horizontally. I see you are trying to change the light and dark with other manipulations - that is much harder and usually doesn't work too well. If you still have your original image in separate layers (a good thing to do until contests are over, by the way), just flip the marble and you will see a huge difference, and the light and shadows will match. Good luck!

author says:

Thank you elemare, I made the change, hope it is better now

avatar elemare
elemare says:

You're welcome! So glad you liked my tip. I find that matching and/or creating shadows and light are probably the most common challenge when adding outside elements to scenes.

thanks trim im triying to save in hi-res but it don't

avatar Drivenslush

Author, you may have to reduce the size (especially if it surpasses 20 inches no matter the dpi) If you put the resolution at about 300dpi you can resize the inches so it stays within the 5mb limit) Good luck!!!

Great work author! I miss a better perspective work in the palace at the center of the image...
The castle works perfectly giving an exagerated lens distorsion in the upper part, but the palace seems very flat in comparison.
Anyway its just my opinion. Nice work!

Don't know why but I just really like waterfalls off the landscape in this contest! Great job author and looks like a tremendous effort... keep up the great work!
