Cool idea still need a little bit of work…..The zipper looks a tiny bit too sharp for the rest of the image and the chain is floating in the air at the moment.
What a wonderfully unique idea. I love this kind of thinking! 
Saw it in the sidebar and made me come in for a closer look. Warlock is right, tho. Maybe if you run a *very* light blur brush over the zipper, it would help it blend with the rest of the image better.

Nice job. You might need to fix a couple of the minor details to take this to the next level though, sush as removing the straight lines in the floorboards after the vortex/swirl has started. A good chop though.
