Smart thinking, looks like a part of a submarine. Maybe you should think of making the bubbles on the left side more transparent, then they blend better in the image.

Another drawing on photoshop I created all from scratch, earlier than the one below!
In this drawing I as well used circular marquee a lot and the gaussian effect. To create the nebula in the top left i used A LOT of brushes and other effects such as Color dodge and more. I used the layer settings as well to tweak up the glowing effects of everything. And finally finished it off with a solar flare shining behind the planet to give it its sunrise effect. I like the effect of the near asteroids, but the background could use a little work (the nebula and the star shines).
Lens flare needs to go too...
The Bad part about the asteroids is that it doesn't match.. For some reason when I used the same settings in layer options it didn't work... But the point of the asteroids is to tie the pic together and provide depth .. And the lens flare is just part of the sun behind the planet .. I should have probably put the opacity down a little bit because it is allittle over powering !!!
It's always better to do your own lighting effect than just pop in a lens flare, which we have all seen a million times.
Hmm that is true... But idk what kind of lighting effect besides that would work... Maybe the solar rays ???

Interesting concept. I think some black space above the 'head' would better define the jellyfish. Plus the near-perfect left and right halves (especially for the background) is boring. Also, it all seems rather flat to me.

Nice work author! Just some little nitpicks, I think the front flipper of the lower turtle should be in front of the fan, and you can try and warp the fan's a bit more to give them some body, it seems a little flat. GL!
