Very nice... just about the hand. I don't think there would be a shadow in mid air like that and where the hand is "coming out" the edges are very sharp, you might consider using some clouds or something? Good luck Reply »

As usual, I'm clueless about what this is supposed to mean even with the hint of the title. The fact that the hand and forearm seem to be parallel to the background is disconcerting when that intrusion does not seem to have distorted that flat background (as opposed to bursting out of the background into the viewer's face). I remember this one! I really like this, author! I think the surrealism is intriguing. I enjoy the bending of logic. To me this reads like a book. The reality is the hand poking thru the backdrop of water...yet holding onto things that only exist in fairy tales. (hence the fairy dust etc.) The exaggerated cathedral adds the almost quirky illustration look. Don't mean to read 'too much' into this...but I like it a lot. My only suggestion is less of the 'rendered cloud filter' look. Perhaps blurring this more. Reply »
