Contest goal:

You ever saw the art of rebuilding a face from an ancient mummy that archaeologists found? Now it's your turn to do the same! Here under is a list of skulls provided by www.sxc.hu. Your goal is to pick at least one of the skulls and rebuild the face from the same angle. You may rotate and proportionally scale the skull image, but you're not allowed to alter it in any other way. The reconstruction has to be done with several face images, you can not use only one face photo for it. Neither can you build the face completely in 3D nor can you completely draw it (however, you can draw details if needed). If you want, you can add more than just the face (body, background), that's up to you. As long as the face looks as realistic and exactly according to the skull as possible.

The skulls:
Skull 1, thank you nighty77
Skull 2, thank you rkiser
Skull 3, thank you eugene w
Skull 4, thank you groesel
Skull 5, thank you Sarej
Skull 6, thank you ericodias

Remember, you have to start out with one of those, you can't use your own skull source.
Good luck!

Edit: please show the skull superimposed over the face transparently in a Step By Step.

RickLaMesa: excellent idea Waz ( 5 years and 3172 days ago )
iamlukas: Awesome Idea! What a pitty I'm not lvl 8 yet.. ( 5 years and 3172 days ago )
Geexman: Like the idea, not sure on how it can be judged properly if the source is totally hidden. Might be an idea to provide a 50% transparent image overlaying the source as part of the sbs. ( 5 years and 3171 days ago )
lchappell: The idea is certainly interesting but I am like Geexman, how are we to judges this when the skull is to be covered over. ( 5 years and 3171 days ago )
annabat: Yeah, strange contest. Basically to judge you'd have to download the source picked and then the entry and overlay them in ps, turning off layers. ( 5 years and 3171 days ago )
nasirkhan: IMO, our final result should contain both images, the skull and filled face, so users/voters can judge and vote accordingly ( 5 years and 3171 days ago )
Contest Moderator: With different images for the face, it's meant that you have to use an image for the nose, another image for the mouth, etc. Not just a complete face. ( 5 years and 3170 days ago )
RickLaMesa: he basically wants us to create a frankenstein sort of thing with different parts ( 5 years and 3170 days ago )
wazowski: Ricky, that's a pretty good summary . It's about knowing how the face is built ànd knong how to blend different images perfectly together in PS. The skulls are a anatomy guide and it forces you to look for good sources. Hopefully it makes better sense now ( 5 years and 3170 days ago )

Made with skull 1.
Used 3 different face-parts.

I hope it's not a problem that the mouth is open instead of the closed one of the skull ;) (5 years and 3165 days ago)
