Hallucinations - Photoshop Contest [15 entries]

Contest goal:

It is said that lack of sleep can cause hallucinations. Show us how reality would look like to somebody who has gone without sleep for a long time and who is suffering from those hallucinations. Your task is to take an ordinary photo and by using your photo manipulation skills transform it into something weird, seen through the eyes of the person hallucinating. Good luck and be creative!

SOLARIS: I know this condition pretty good :-/ question, "..take an ordinary photo ...transform it into" sounds like only one source Image should be used. Is that correct? ( 5 years and 3206 days ago )

HeinrichB: What I had in mind is that the main source image i.e your "background" be realistic like the road while driving your car or a classroom or whatever and then you could use other source images to create the hallucinations. Take for example a picture of a book you are studying but you are so sleep deprived that the letters are dancing across the page or something to that effect. Anyway that's the kind of thing I had in mind when I suggested the contest but I guess its up to the mods

gigi: I am not at a high enough level for this contest but here are a couple of hallucinations I had when I was sick, on pain meds, and refused to sleep for about a week: wiggly worms on the window but they were clear so only I could see them. Knew the FBI would come through the TV to get me if I got well, Just some ideas

Had to re-work my image, As I had used a pre manipulated image, bad me.....let me know what you think of the substitute mouth dose it work

Iâ€™m not sure as I've got use to looking at the old one, need a fresh set of eyes. Forgive the dryly humorous pun.

Sorry for saying this mate, but I don't think this work deserved the 3rd place. All praise to your wicked humour (loved the SBS too), but I find this kind of voting to be very unfair for the ppl who did a lot of work on this contest too.
