Christmas Logo - Photoshop Contest [13 entries]
Contest goal:
In this contest, your goal is to design a nice christmas logo to replace the current pxleyes logo during the holiday period. The idea is to start with the current logo and work on it to give it a christmas-feel. Optionally, the text "CG Community" can be added to the logo.
The winner will be decided by voting, and not manually like last year! Do anything you like with it, but keep the total dimension and ratio the same.
Post a screenshot of how your logo design looks on the site.

Keiley22: cool idea. Can i ask (and i know this my sound stupid as hell ) but how do you guys get the pxleyes screen. Do you screen capture and if so, how do you get it all lol.... sorry, its something i wondered awhile back as well. ( 5 years and 3425 days ago )
annabat: Can we have a version w/ layers? right now the logo is flattened onto white w/ the shadows etc. Am I being whiney?

( 5 years and 3425 days ago ) annabat: Keiley: yes press the button if on a PC, and then go to photoshop, and do N and photoshop will automatically make a new document the size of your screen shot and then you just do v ( 5 years and 3425 days ago )
( 5 years and 3425 days ago ) annabat: argh... sorry everywhere I put in a certain character used to symbolize buttons it took the whole thing out. for print screen it's the PrtSC button, for new in photoshop it's Ctrl N and past is Ctrl V ( 5 years and 3425 days ago )

Very clean and good balance.
Very cute. Not sure I like the reflections, which don't properly match what they're reflecting in any event (should be same shape and size). I would be curiouse to see the "screenshot of how your logo design looks on the site" as on first blush it would appear that the Santa hat would extend off the screen and the left side of the puddle would extend beyond the tilted white background shape.
Reflections in the puddle should be red, otherwise nice work...
I made some adjustments in the reflection, thanks for the tip.
