Monochromatic describes paintings, drawings, design, or photographs in one color or shades of one color. For this contest, take a photo that consists of just one color or different shades and/or tones of one color. Any photo color manipulation is off-theme and against the rules!

meatman: how much of another color besides the main one is allowed ?? I noticed that a lot of the photos have an additional color somewhere in the pic. Also, I am confused by the black and white issue. I guess I misunderstood the post. Because are not black and white opposite colors ??

Contest Moderator: meatman, I have tried to be lenient in my judging. I can be hard to tell if it's a different colour or a different shade of the same colour. Do red flag any you feel are off theme, and I will have a other look at the entry. But don't leave it till just before closing.
Black and white are the same 'colour' either end of the grey scale, but it would be too easy if we allowed B/W as any photo would qualify. (327 days ago)

k5683: ANY WHITE BALANCE SETTINGS ARE OFF THEME SINCE NO "COLOR MANIPULATION" IS ALLOWED!!!!! YOU MUST HAVE YOUR SETTINGS SET TO AUTO TO BE ALLOWED IN THIS CONTEST AND IT WILL BE REGULATED! pft!!!!!! REALLY, THIS IS WHY I LEFT BEFORE!!!!! Here I am giving an honest photo with no photoshop manipulation and I get pulled for a fricken stupid reason. MY SUNGLASSES WERE 6 INCHES FROM MY CAMERA LENS.
