Good image, shadows under the blanket & saddle will make it better.

author says:

You're right. I had some but they didn't show up well in the final version. It's like they disappeared. Maybe I clicked when I shoulda clacked and turned them off by accident. I made them darker, even darker than before. Thanks for the tip.

author says:

Updated SBS to show shadow changes. Added scarf to monkey.

Lots of intricate detail work has gone into this. Well done.

author says:

TY SA. It looked so ordinary on the beach and was considering changing backgrounds. However some smushed in some clouds and messing with colors gave it a nice dreamy look. Wanted to put them on a horse track racing horses but could not find a suitable pic on a dirt track.

It's recommended that you read the Pxleyes Guide found here: http://www.pxleyes.com/courses/pxleyes-guide/

All sources must be added to your entry and be free of copyright and be available for use, the copyright license and usage must be shown on the link. Please do not link to the download page.

author says:

Sorry, I don't get it. The "properties" on this image show a blank space for copyright info. Where can I locate this?

Do you want the image posted at a hosting site like Photobucket etc, and then give that URL rather than direct linking?

(5 years and 494 days ago)

Zizounai says:

Just look at what the others do! You must sent the link of the page where you found the image, stating it belongs to public domain. If you don't find any statement on the copyright licence and usage, you are not allowed to use the image here.
You will find all the rules on the guide: http://www.pxleyes.com/courses/pxleyes-guide/
These rules are a bit difficult to get when you begin I must admit... but once you are used to it, Pxleyes is good fun and you can learn a lot.

Very good "photoshopping!" Very nice "CBR" work. Good luck!

author says:

Thank you very much but I have no clue what the acronym "CBR" stands for.

(5 years and 590 days ago)

avatar lchappell
lchappell says:

"CBR" as it is, is an acronym for Chopped Beyond Recognition. It is an old carry over expression from the old days of this web site. You have taken the original image and completely altered it as a whole. Therefore "CBR'd" it.
The way you have done it definitely has some recognizable elements of the original source i.e.: the fabric of the hat and the fur. Very nice job.

author says:

Thank you for explaining the acronym. You have thoroughly enlightened me.

pretty cool.. but the kite perspective is out.
person's shadow should be infront of her.
overall too bright for a sun-rise or sun-set feel, should be darker
just a suggestion.

avatar Drivenslush

hehehe Where is ANOTZE? hehehe (I'm just kidding) Always be aware when you do a "Flip" on a photo with words on it. Everything goes backwards. (It's an easy enough fix and I can see by your talent that there is no need to tell you how to fix it) Flip just the words not the whole Windmill. It's great facing back into the image.
I kind of like the lighting and the overall effect. Reminds me of Don Quixote's (Man of La Mancha) battle with the Windmills... the Sesame Street Version. You'll get a spanking for reversing the shadow but I can tell you have an excellent imagination.

avatar CMYK46
CMYK46 says:

Might be simpler to just clone out the word, but definitely fix the shadow. The light source is behind the girl.

First submission. I had fun putting this together. (5 years and 1244 days ago)

Welcome to Pxleyes! Nice first entry, glad you had fun that's what it's all about! Looks good. I think the dust works but maybe it would be better without the hairs, just my opinion still a nice image.

author says:

I went back and forth a half dozen times on that. And still think maybe the dust/hair layer needs to be toned down a bit.

(5 years and 1243 days ago)

I thought the dust made sense as it looks like debris but the hair didn't look right for me unless you wanted it to look like an old photo but I'm not sure that works. That's just how I see it.

(5 years and 1243 days ago)

avatar Drivenslush

As a first entry, this is SPECTACULAR. While I can see what you were going for with the texture, it confuses the focus because when viewing the image, I tend to flash to the hairs and debris and not the image. I think that's what Spaceranger is talking about. Good luck and toning back the debris would be a great fix on an already great chop
