Horses were cut from backgrounds and placed on new background. The mouths were cut out separately, slightly warped and liquified to exaggerate the shapes.
The "wild" manes and hair were cut out and added. They were also warped and liquified to fit.
Some of the mane hairs were painted in by hand to blend the manes together.
Some cloning was done in parts to get rid of areas I did not want. Dodge and burn applied to various areas. Lots of color matching and adjusting.
Lighting effects added.
Oil paint filter applied.
Thin frame added.

Yes, I know. It is a mess that I need to fix. I made a note to myself to not upload things in the middle of the night when I am half asleep any more. I need to wait till I am awake and alert and check things in high resolution before uploading.
Anyway, it's all part of the learning process. I need to get a lot better at perspective. I am having problems getting two different perspectives to match correctly. I need to watch more you tube tutorials and do a lot more practise.
Should I warp the background perspective to match the characters or vice versa?

My late night artistic inspiration was simply clouded by tiredness. I can't blame any wine glasses.
Anyway, I redid the whole thing.
I think the perspective looks a bit better now.
It's a P.I.B. trying to get perspectives right but I will get the hang of it eventually.

Nanaris, at first I wanted to make it all blue and draw the humanoid aliens. But it was less energy / time consuming to make it earhlike by finding the right stock, than inventing alien landscape

- cut out iguana and teeth.
- copy top half of iguana ( mouth line),rotate to open mouth.
- add in teeth and clone tool and smudge to recreate single working image.
- create main background using polar coordinates and center circle below iguana, add in circle border above iguana.
- play with adjustment layers and lighting until happy.

I felt it was too bland so added the dots just to give a teeny bit of something that didnt interfere too much with the pic
