I knew that was a steampunk 'weapon' - great find. And the cross looks a lot like the IATSE logo, (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) so appropriate for a film poster. Nice work, author.

Maybe give him some more space...the beak touching the edge is awkward.

I agree with CMYK46, just pull back a little in your cropping so there's some black in front of the beak. The creation itself is well done and the colors work well together.
