Ory: I love the idea of this contest, but I have a problem with nearly all the entries so far, I took them off the page and checked the levels tool in photoshop and removed all the red's and greens and only a few entrys have actually stuck to the rules so far. OliviasArts: Ory, do you ask to take the images off the page?? and 8DX so long as the image is blue then it really doesn't matter what they do

Ory: We'll I think it would be a bit silly and rude of me to say nearly all the images should be pulled, especially at this stage when so many of them have traces of reds and greens in them, only a few would be left, I just don't agree that people don't seem to have stuck to the guidelines for this contest.

8DX: First, I only used "true blue" colors to draw, but when I checked my jpeg I found red and green-possibly from rendering clouds? Second, the color white has red and green in it. Third, can we define blue as more blue than red or green? ( 5 years and 3597 days ago )

mellowdesign: Well I'm not the contest moderator, but when I suggested 'blue', as long as it looks blue, that's fine by me! It doesn't have to be 'pure' - you can use different blues (some have more red or yellow in than others- as long as they're not...red or yellow!) Enjoy! ( 5 years and 3596 days ago )

OliviasArts: duh @ me. think i need to go back to school lol... i planned to work in the kindy when my girl starts next year, leanr my basics again he he he. I think there would be very few people in this contest if the rules were that strict. I suggested a contest last year and well lets say interpretation is varied lol its only a contest, ive learnt that now, so just let it be, the right person will take first place

OliviasArts: ive used different photos, i think blue is just a harder colour. But the only thing to me is that people can't comprehend only blue in their images, they have browns and purples etc etc and still submissions are there. ( 5 years and 3593 days ago )

Thanks to Falln-Stock for the smoke brushes. For the background, I used an image that was once used for a contest - "Forest Sunrays". I had it in my computer, but couldn't find it on the internet, so I posted it in the SBS. (5 years and 3598 days ago)

For me blue can be a fluffy cloud, the serene sky, a magic eye, the refreshing water, a precipitant comet in space, a delicate flower, a free butterfly or the simple and sincere smile of a child!
I feel like blue surrounds me everywhere and combining all of the above helped me create "My Blue Odyseey"!

The main method in this image has been the combining of different images using a lot of masking and blue coloring.
