Well I have to admit, I didn't know this famous Lighthouse! So thanks for pointing that out Those two buildings that hold the tower are the two biggest sharpness problems I think, they are very blurry. Maybe you could fix that in time? Also the casted shadows can be a lot darker, the light is pretty direct from behind the objects. It would spice things up Good Luck Reply »

nice idea thou not to realistic IMO why the boats sending the wood when you can use a ground transportation? and its kind of off theme because if you read the instructions it says from the beginning to midway progress and with what i see its almost done.. also the black border is kind of distracting.. oh another thing the wood that is close to the lighthouse its colossal compared to the other wood. but its ok since its a very demanding work =D i wish u look (Btw i preffer wrong technology time than making wood 100 times bigger) thanks u for ur comments =D Reply »

@Kevinice...this comment of yours is very very incorrect...First of all,"off theme" if u could find some images that represents lighthouse from Pharos,u will see that lighthouse have to parts,on my image is only bottom one,part without light...Second,Pharos was surrounded by two islands near Alexandria,and was placed at the island,so,your comment about ground was is incorrect,again...For wood's maybe u are right but i suppose that in this world we have different sizes of wood.And to tell u the truth,its very rude to use my entry to talk about yours.I don't want to criticize u,only make a point...if u want to do something,try to do that good,do some research... I airplane pulling on it is not really too realistic. I understand it was meant for a more surrealistic approach but surrealism really isn't the idea in this contest. It's more to really reenact and make it look like something that would have actually happened, but that is mainly IMO. Reply »

That's weird, your comments on the pyramid entry sound otherwise. IMO that's pretty surrealistic too. It doesn't say anything about surrealism in the contest goal either. I just used a fantasy approach on the contest goal that makes the image unique. But I don't make the rules in here, it would be really sad for all the work I put in it. Reply »

Great creation author...I have few nit picks beside Jaw's about the contest goals...First is,camel in left side of the image is in some kind of shadow,but look she's hump,bright sun,also u had to work on her shadow a bit more,especially part near foot.Second thing,camel's at right side are far the tower,but thickness of the rope is the same.Also,u have to blur them just a bit.Tower it self is positioned very well,but frame is not crop-ed that grate,u have lots of white halo there.Any how author,don't take this suggestion as attack,if u have time,made some correction's and this will be great entry...good luck Reply »

yea this is a version of the bridge being built in our life time, i doubt they had the same cranes we use now or even built it in enormous sections already painted red that outweigh the helicopters carrying them....i guess its more of a cartoonish method of construction...but i'm just having fun with photoshop i guess...thanx for the comment Reply »

I love the idea since this is where I am from. (a little more south). The blur isn't needed on the piece hovering above because it's not off in the distance, it should be the same focus as the actual bridge. The middle structure is not in place, and wouldn't be "moved" The vertical supports go in first. Sorry for the nitpicks, because blending wise you did a great job! (I will ignore the time warp, and weight issues w/ the helicopters as there is no way that the helicopter could lift what you depict, so yay fantasy! heheh) Reply »
