The bottom face would have been better totally cropped to enhance the "lonely" feel of the facial expression, as would having all the other court cards in a gathering away from the jack, or a queen facing away from him, with another Jack facing her.
Technically, the focus is off on this photo, with both faces blurry, and only the center of card and the sash in the middle crisp and focused (auto focus?).

Your work with the light is fantastic ... I begin to suspect that is your photo, before give the note ... Congrats ...
