It was too high when this was shot to have an object in front of it for contrast, but it was still a nice full moon. (1 year and 41 days ago)

I tried to get the moon close to the horizon, but got side tracked and it was almost behind the horizon. It was such a big beautiful orange moon. Got up early the next morning to get it. But the moon was still very high in the sky at 6am, and by the time it set, it was daylight. guess I will have to wait till next year. Did get some photos very similar to yours, but my moon is turned the other way (180 degrees rotation) LOL Reply »
