I attempted to reshoot. I used a cheap macro tube that doesn't have auto-focus or aperture and this is the result. No masking, blur tool or photoshopping was used. (5 years and 2663 days ago)

Nice idea, but a little soft
diamond is almost to sharp compared to the rest of the picture...looks like a mask and some sort of blur was used on the rest of the picture.
