Sorry jfish...but the skewed horizon really appears to work here IMHO...the subject is slightly skewed to the right, the horizon, slightly to the left...it creates a 'balance' of sorts...I really like the shot 'as is', the colors also work great together, in addition to the captured action, I must admit...nicely done Author! Great photo! Do you remember how many tries it took to capture it the way you wanted?
Looking at the horizon on the LH side, I think it is "level, the ground is slightly inclined on the right...I agree with ItsMyMoment, it's a nice balance to the pose.

MossyB, it took me about oh, I'd estimate about 40 to 50 shots before I got a result I liked. Total, I took over 100. One reason why I took so many photos was because I had my camera set to take photos 3 at a time to catch the movement better. Another challenge for me was focusing and composition. For some reason my head was almost always cut off ^_^ Reply »
