The advice wasn't the problem, it was the insult that led up to the advice.

I quite like the Concept of your Photo and also like that its lifeless and no color. A world full of gabage and nothing else. I also agree with adeincyprus that some contrast would have given it real punch and impact. I like your idea

author, stick around and you'll get constructive criticism and help from the other members here and soon your photos will be looking great. Also check out some tutorials and make sure to look at other member's photos that have won so you get an idea of what looks good. You may have to seldomly deal with someone who doesn't always have tact (adeincyprus) but that same person will probably turn around and help you out and you'll have great photos in no time.
I would suggest you also download a photo editing program like Photoshop or the like, if you haven't already. You can adjust things in your photo to make them look a little better--but just make sure you read the photography guidelines. If you want, you can even edit your photos at picnik.com but again, make sure you read the guidelines for photography because only certain things can be done to your photos.
