The Goal: To take a picture of something round, and then crop the image to a squared shape, with the edge of your circled object at the edge of your square. There is a Flickr group that specializes in this type of photo to give you some ideas.
BeSea: There is a problem with many of the entries if we are to go by the goal. First " the edge of your circled object at the edge of your square". Several do not have this format. Secondly, if you look at all of the examples on the Flickr site, they all have actual hard circles at the outer edge, not just something approximately round. Is this being nitpicky or are many entries so far off theme? Please clarify the goal. have ( 5 years and 1808 days ago )
BeSea: I continued to look at more Flickr examples (look before you leap) and not all do have hard circles (although most do), but they are all definitely at least round at the outer edge and cropped to the edge, so I still ask for clarification. ( 5 years and 1808 days ago )
BeSea: PS: I'm not trying to be mean or difficult to others. One of mine may also be in question. ( 5 years and 1808 days ago )
Contest Moderator: As long as the general shape is "something round" (does not need to be a perfect circle) and it is as close as possible to the edges of the square it will be allowed. We are trying to be a little lenient in this contest to allow greater creativity. ( 5 years and 1807 days ago )
