friiskiwi: I understand from the description, that it has to be local to where we are living. Is that correct? ( 5 years and 2465 days ago )
Contest Moderator: Since it is difficult to determine where each member lives (and could give away anonymity) the "local" attraction does not need to be where you live. It just needs to be the areas "local attraction". ( 5 years and 2465 days ago )

Cabo San Lucas is not all just sun, sand and beach hotels. The harbour is alive at dawn with sport-fishing boats going out to catch the big one and small water taxis offering an opportunity to catch the shot at sunrise of the famous "Arches". (5 years and 2459 days ago)

This monument on Calton Hill in Edinburgh was intended to be another Parthenon and to commemorate Scottish Soldiers killed in the Napoleonic wars. Construction started in 1826 but work was stopped in 1829 when the building was only partially built due to lack of money. It has never been completed, leading to the nickname, "Scotland's Disgrace".
