kyricom: Does it matter if the entry is not a carving, but a statue? A lot of these entries aren't true "carvings." (1 year and 238 days ago)
rbsgrl: Is there a difference between a molded object and a carved object? (1 year and 237 days ago)
kyricom: yes... there is (1 year and 237 days ago)
rbsgrl: I was pretty sure there is but many entries do seem to be moldings and not carvings. (1 year and 237 days ago)
drskn08: I think its difficult to decide which is carving and which is molding. I have seen objects ranging from small to huge, many of which are results of carving and many others are products of molding. Thats why probably both are allowed here. (1 year and 237 days ago)
drskn08: ...As it is difficult to decide which is a photograph of Sunrise and which is of Sunset particularly am amateur like me lol (1 year and 237 days ago)
kyricom: You're right. Sometimes it is hard... But, on some of these it's easy too. Are they on theme? (1 year and 237 days ago)
Contest Moderator: Since it is difficult to determine if the item is carved or precast, both will be allowed. It is then up to the members to determine by the way they vote. (1 year and 237 days ago)
kyricom: OK. Thanks for the clarification. (1 year and 236 days ago)

What a beautiful object! You have done a remarkable job capturing the lighting on the side. Where is this, please? Reply »

Thanks MossyB for your comment and your fav. I appreciate them both.
This Minotaur caught my eye as soon as I saw it. Although, It was at the backyard of some Institution at "El Escorial", a town located in the outskirts of Madrid Spain, I thought it was worth shooting it. So, I took my chances through the bars of the gate in a very unconfortable pose which rather compromised the focus, and this is the outcome. I'm really glad you like it. Reply »
Well worth your suffering, the focus is beautiful, and does not look compromised at all. Thank you for the most interesting "back story" behind the photo - Often times, it makes the image even more interesting! Reply »
