How do you shoot this kind if photos author.Could you share with us the technique you use.I saw this kind of photos many times but i can't understand how this is done.I guess you used flash, & a solid background but what about the shadows...?You use an external flash & fire it up from the left...?What was the settings on your camera...?Any help would be useful!Great "freeze" of the liquid. Thanks for the great comments. Like Karaflazz i saw photos like this about a year ago and also puzzled at how it was done, I scaned the net with no luck and spent ages experimenting with milk splashing and flashguns. It was only when i stopped thinking along the normal way a fast photo is taken it all fell into place, The satisfaction i get from each shot is much bigger because i worked the technique out for myself and gained lots more knoledge along the way. The set up is as Karaflazz describes,except the picture is actually upside down,Mug glued to glass and the liquid is falling! Reply »

No sound trigger used, The chocolate didnt make any noise untill it landed! And i shot this outside and cleaned up with the help of a neighbours dog! Reply »

ok, f22 and 1/60 sec..you had to be using something deliberately, that is a very slow lens speed for such a catch, yet you say you had to read the exif data to see that the flash had fired..........for a shot like this, the flash had to fire, or at least, a triggered light source had to fire. hi cocor, i don't think by smashing your computer screen just to drain the water is a smart way..please follow this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwExpFDUC9Y&feature=PlayList&p=64E2F957328961F2&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=43 it shows how exactly how i did it..but i did it on a mirror and i dont have that flash remote gadget stuff. the important thing is, how to get the right angle and the water drop must in consistently droping. hopefully this will help. p/s: this was my 2nd setup water drop photo and its only took me 10 shots to get the right one..(continued) Reply »

waldo, be careful with your accussations............you rubbed people the wrong way once before! This looks real enough to me, These unusual clouds are called lenticular clouds because of their lens-like shape and they tend to form at high altitudes, normally aligned at right-angles to the wind direction. They have often been mistaken for UFOs in the past, due to their odd shape. Reply »
