Still got the blues. - created by karaflazz
Gary Moore.
Use to be so easy
To give my heart away
But I found that the haeartache
was the price you have to pay
I found that that love is no friend of mine
I should have know'n time after time
So long
it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you
Use to be so easy
Fall in love again
But I found that the heartache
It's a roll that leeds to pain
I found that love is more than just a game
Play and to win
but you loose just the same
So long
it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you
So many years since I seal you face
You will my heart
there's an emty space
Used to be
(SOLO)
So long
it was so long ago
But I've still got the blues for you
Golden days come and go
There is one thing I know
I've still got the blues for you (319 days ago)

I just noticed the pistol. and old school dial up. nice touch indeed. And I take it you are waiting for your crooked dealer that is in your employ to deal you your fifth card, seeing that you only have 4. Reply »

Well nem...if you put it this way this is all so a graphics/photography site. You don't kill the excitement.People can express their opinion in any way they can.The above comments was your way.No hard feelings, after all is your opinion.Just for the record the AXE is not "family site" material too.Shouldn't i include this too? What about weapons contest? What about the night scene?Should i shoot this at day time, night scenes are scary = NOT "family site"material? You think that it would work the same?If you could support your opinion with a solution i would be happy to re-shoot it.Kids or younger members can see "brutal" photos around the WEB with just a single click. There is no need to visit a graphics/photography site to view such photos. One more thing...since i got your attention it means i did great with the feeling i wanted to impress with this photo.I take your comment as a personal attack ( recently a pic got pulled because one could see pubic hair -- and this remains in contest? quite a special attitude imo ...) You are accusing me for having a "special treatment"from the MODS???
Enough said... Reply »

So you don't like my idea/composition/concept.You call my photography "tasteless".
The womans head is a fake one (i am not that crazy).
You are seeing the tree & not the forest i think.
You are not accusing anybody...you just did calling my photo "not even close to photography".
What make you say that?
Are you the greatest photographer ever & your opinion is a "rule" for everyone to follow?
If you don't like my entry just don't vote it but you can't come here & say such things! Reply »

I let you have the last word here.
It seams you have your own way of seeing thinks & i am not gonna try to change it.
As far as i see it you playing with words while putting words in others mouth... Reply »

Ok nem, think about it, if something lacks taste, it is tasteless! That is kinda the definition of tasteless. And also, I think this is the most unique approach to the theme for the contest yet. All the other entries are just images of cracks in a road, while this evokes emotion and thought that the other fail to do. What makes a photo is incredibly subjective. I look a photos in two ways some are just meant to be pretty, and some are meant to evoke emotions and ideas. If a photo does either of those, then I consider it a decent photo. I consider this a great photo because the emotion you get from it is almost the same for everyone, it is quite clear what the photographer was trying to do. This site being "family friendly" I actually have problems with. They claim to be "fine art photography" and "family friendly" and the two can not exist in the same sentence unless one has a not in front of them. And for the photo being removed because of a pubic hair, I've had photos removed for even more ridiculous reason. I almost left because of how picky they were getting. I don't agree with it. And if they do show favoritism, it isn't the author's fault, you should be going to the mods about it, not the author. there really isn't anything he can do about people favoriting his work. Reply »

This entry has been seen and approved by the Mods...there is nothing in this image that violates the rules of this site, no undue blood or gore, no extreme nudity...we consider this matter closed, if any members have other issues with this image, please use the Red-flag's and we will consider each response for its own merit...otherwise, the argument with the author is unmerited. Well... I'm almost a little afraid to add my two cents.
I am usually not one to shy away from pointing out if I think an entry is not appropriate since there are kids on the site. But, I don't think ( just MHO) this shot falls into that category. The head is obviously fake. There is no evident blood or guts etc. You see things far more graphic than this on an average night of television. If it was a close-up, with dripping blood and gore at the neck, I'd probably be agreeing with you. But this image is a bit sanitized. If I had any complaint, it would probably be that the figure draws attentiuon away from the cracks in the road. But it's a nice shot. Reply »

Well, I'm not going to be drawn into some protracted discussion where everyone sees you're wrong but you. There is no real controversy as it has already been posted that "This entry has been seen and approved by the Mods...there is nothing in this image that violates the rules of this site." Second, a philosophical discussion pertaining to violence etc. should take place in the forum, not on a specific entry. I would tell you to red flag it if you don't like it, but the mods have already approved it. Just let it go. The world will keep turning Reply »

If this is a scene from a movie, what classification would it be labelled under in your country? In my country, I think it would be at least R18, meaning anyone under 18 would not be admitted. If decapitating a woman (or man) and carrying and walking around with her (his) head in one hand and the axe (in this case) is not gore, violence, then what is? Would an artistic photo which shows, or implies as in this case, a woman has just been raped on a dark and lonely cracked road be OK for this contest, without showing any pubic hair of course. Maybe it is a meaningful metaphor representing the cracks in our economy..maybe it represents the average down and out citizen chopping the head off injustice and fear and taking charge of his life. Or maybe it is just a fantabulous pic!! P.S. I've always wished I could rock a trenchcoat. Reply »

Really Author, I just don't know what to add but another "wow"...
Fantastic shot, the angle of the light creates a wonderful leading line to the subject, the composition is spot-on, the blackness surrounding the subject and the pose create a wonderful story-telling image...
what is he doing? where is he? why is he there? is he in solitary? is he in pain, torment?
The viewer involvement and imagination are wonderful. Simply top notch work Author! This has to be one of my all time Fav's
