Some good modelling. The light on the white parts though do seem a little too bright.

I'm in awe of the work here, the complexity, especially steps 3 and 5, is amazing! Just a little nitpick, I'd add more depth of color on the large white area with the knobs, but other than that, it's fantastic. Yes, you should do the triptych idea, you've done work that does not show in this image. Print it out large and frame it for your brother.
