Just love the dynamic tension that you have created with this well comoposed photograph. The smallness of the church to the vastness of land around it and the tonal colours make this image a stand out.

I have a big problem shooting black things, or things on a black background like this one. Do you have a tip ? my camera goes crazy, the autofocus buzzes along and instead of black I get grey. I tried to google my problem but I only got solutions about black and white photos

Did you have a guide or did you see those little fingerprints yourself? In some parts of the world, you will continue to see child's hands labouring....sad to say.

What do you use for the black background? I use a Muslin cloth but oftentimes it shows dust, and threads etc. Is this construction papaer?

Thank you for the historical background, appreciated. What a sad history you have. I will now wikipedia this site. It is too bad that an earthquake, then a storm levelled the two flank buildings. Very interesting read and it would be fascinating to visit this building. I also like the way you presented this upload, has a flavour of romanticism to it.

Now, why couldn't I have thought of that!? I like it in monochrome and your expression further gives us pause as we try to figure out why that intensity...sharp and clear and tight crop holds us in the frame.

Clever. This is the kind of image, if hanging in a Photo Exhibition, would cause people to stop and study it closer. Perfectly rendered and a highly emotive photograph. Just as an aside, your dilemma does not only extend to you and your job but it seems it is the culture, the norm nowadays. Be grateful that you do not live in a country where lese-majeste rules, for it would be instant imprisonment anywhere from three to fifteen years.

This looks very inviting and I see you punched up the saturation to give it a surreal magical feel, it works. See those orange punches of bright light on the left of the image, they take our eyes away from your main focal pop? Eliminating those through a tighter crop would benefit your photograph and take us straight to this lovely "home away from home" image.

Someone in this world knows how to have fun and keep love alive. I love this image for the clarity it shows, the story. A sharper DOF would have rendered the entire image in sharpness (the red rose) but it is a winner in my eyes.

Think I would have been tempted to find a different viewpoint as it slightly blends in with the trees,always worth trying different viewpoints
