I have to disagree with you on this one Josh, there's quite a bit of DOF here considering the subject is only a few inches long.

We used to have Prairie Dogs all over where we lived in Montana. The ranchers HATED them, but they were kind of cute and fun to watch. This is a nice shot

I like how you chose to incorporate your background into this image. Most people on this site (myself included) who shoot low key tend to darken the entire backdrop out and only show the subject. Its nice to see something done differently and, most important, done well. All the best!
