I realize there are 6 steps in the description and only 4 steps in the SBS but you get the gist of it. Hope I spelled gist" right

You could use the bouncing raindrops (light color) to create more contrast, paint them on the upper side of the plaine which should also be lighter, so that we can distinguish the form of the plain easier. I also think that cropping the image would help the composition - too much useless space right now

The lighting is inconsistent. There are shadows on the bird, but none on the woman, and the umbrella shows no real lighting at all.

I recommend flipping the bird and girl around to face the lightening to help correct the lighting issues...Best of Luck author

avatar greymval
greymval says:

I agree, flipping it would make the lighting issue easier to correct.

I really like this, I think the castles edges could do with a little softening where it meets the sky, I only really noticed it when zoomed in on high res. I hope this does well GL

your statue is rather bright considering her surroundings...if you give the water a bit more highlight then just darken the left side of her body a bit more you might get away with it goodluck anyway

avatar ponti55
ponti55 says:

What i suggest, instead of darkening the statue, brighten up the background, because now it's way too dark. Another suggestion would be to add a few splashes around the statue to make it look like a real storm. Good luck!

avatar Tuckinator

i totally disagree with ponti (sorry ponti) but im sure what the author was aiming for was a dark and stormy look right author! i think you should let the image fly like it is because its fantastic! and theres nothing wrong with it! oh BTW im adding this image to my favorites list!
