There a tons of tutorials for this effect...I haven`t followed one, nor have I used any special filters or brush`s that the tutorials tend to use. (5 years and 3191 days ago)

I can understand the frame.. but I think it would be even more effective without it... the image is kinda screaming to be free and the frame boxes it in.. but that is IMHO... (great job all around in the creation)
