Thank you, all. Golem, I originally WAS going to turn the bun into water. After implementing this, however, I felt that a snowy field had much more of an impact. Simpler, yes, but the plain white fields heighten the sense of lonliness and solitude. With water, there is a sense of exploration and wonder. I just can't think of anything more "vanilla" than snow.
