I tried leaving the shadow solid, it just didn't look like a shadow, it was just a silhouette...with reduced opacity, it looks like a shadow. Reply »

A good idea author. The perspective between the road and bike are way off though. From the angle we see the road at, we should be looking down directly on top of the bike, and not a side view as you have showing. I would skew the road, place it on the lower half of the image and then add some scenery in the background. I think by doing this it would improve the image imho. Good luck Reply »

The road texture looks too uniform and has no perspective. I found an easy way to make road texture is to start with the gray color then add noise for texture then use gaussian blur to give some blending to the texture. I agree about the perspective problem. One thing that would help is to angle the ends of the white line, as it is now the lines appear to be viewed from directly overhead. Concept is great worth spending a little tweak time IMHO. Reply »

haha! oops [about the links] the shadow was hard to work with cause i needed it to represent some sort of monster, but able to cram in into a tight space, had i made it more 'proportionate' it would be way too short, and wouldnt get the message across like i was hoping for. as for it looking kinda cartoony, that wasnt intended, but it works well i think because of her age. what we found terrifying as children could be pure funny entertainment to us adults, so it fits her personality because of it. thanks for that source heads up tho.
