Contest goal:

Find a world famous painting and recreate it in Photoshop using only photo sources. Drawing is in this contest not allowed. You can for instance recreate the Nightwatch from Rembrandt. Portraits are not allowed and neither are sources which are made to copy the painting in question (or a similar one). The goal is to make the painting look like a photo, therefor do not make it look like a painting again using filters for instance. Show us the scene what the painter saw when he made the painting.

Please add an image of the painting you are recreating to a step by step, and the names of both the painting and painter to your description.

nicehotcupoftea: Contest states drawing is not allowed, but can we use the usual blending tools - ie. dodge/burn, smudge, clone etc? I'm assuming we can't use a brush to paint on edges of fur/feathers/hair etc. Thanks. ( 5 years and 2468 days ago )

Apparently the fruits and animals have symbolic meaning, eg. the monkey represents evil
I chose this painting because it just looks bizarre (and I like a challenge!)
