this pic is not as complicated as it looks, meaning that it is easy to create. Mostly it was done using transform tool, masking, and some lighting effect (filter>render>lighting) to render the texture I created previously by going to channels and create a new channel for the texture. after that in lighting effect just choose the channel ( usually called as alpha channel) for the texture channel option,.... Ok, I spent alot of time on this tonight... ate a whole packet of cheese doritos and then half a packet of allens fruit mints lol.
This was fun, i started off with one image then moved to another and kept seeing different things, So this was the final thing that went through my head, which all in all I am rather happy with :)
So when looking at the sbs please ignore the pole looking thing as that was one of my change the mind stage lol
The background is made out of 4 layers, playing with different colours and gradients. Only images used that werent made by myself are the turtle and the seahorse... cause im just not that talented yet lol (5 years and 3216 days ago)

Nice atmosphere. Please post source for ladders. Building at lower right has opposite light source from everything else. You'll have a better image if you fix that. GL.
Author, I really like the feel of the piece...kinda Dali-esque. My only nit-pick is that the two top buildings should be reversed according to perspective. Where we are at eye level with the top building, we are still looking up at the one on the left. That being said, I like how the heart was used in the framework of the overall structure too.
Really nice image! I had a feeling this was you. I like the texture you used on the heart to blend things together, but there are some masking issues with the top right building. Good luck!
