Drop shadows don't work...what would they be cast on if the butterflies are flying among reeds?

But they aren't in the image, they are on the image. If I wanted them in the reeds I would use blending and masking. I have a picture like this at home, a printed image on a cloth with silk applications.

Again, it wasn't my intention to have the butterflies "in" the image. In this case I would have used a different blend mode. I wanted them "on top" of the image.

I got your intention Author, your butterflies are lodged ON the picture you created with metal beams. Even so you should work on the shadows since the butterflies bodies are on the picture, but their wings are in the air. Nice work anyway

sob... no, you don't get it.... sob.... the wings are supposed to be in the air... silky butterflies sitting on a flat printed image....

Looks good to me and it looks like the butterflies are landing on the framed image.

Should have used the highest resolution pic of the astronaut, but not bad...

CMKY, I do use the full res size. I just link the smaller res size link because... no reason. Had to replace the astronaut.

In high res, it needs a little work. For one thing, the dog in front is a little green. A gausian blur would have helped your beams layer look more clean cut, since I noticed a lot of choppy edges.
