strange how different cultures work,this would not have happened in the west,not sure I agree with it,as it almost makes the women subservant,still it is what it is.
Sons also show respect for their parents both to mothers (female) and to fathers by this traditional obeisance.
not sure I understand that,but different cultures have different viewpoints,my observation was that not all cultures respect women and do have issues with that.
