Then And Now - Photography Contest [25 entries]

Find a photo on the web that shows a place of somewhere near to where you live BUT from a long time ago. Take a photo of the same place as it is now.
You must give the link to the old photo.
You can also upload OLD photos to the SBS, but remember to tell us where the photos were taken and approximately when.
Remember we want the original to be taken a long time ago, the older the better, but at least 50 years ago, that means Early 1960's or before.

This contest is open for all levels.

kyricom: Why does it have to be a photo from the web? We have lots of historical photos of our area, some over 100 years old, but they aren't posted anywhere (that I know of). Couldn't we just show them in an SBS? (211 days ago)

Contest Moderator: I think that is a good idea, but with some history, lets have some more opinions, please.

MossyB: I have an old photo taken over 60 years ago by our then neighbor across the street. She passed away about 15 years ago, so there is no way to obtain permission. The photo has never been published anywhere. Can I still use it? (211 days ago)
