So this is actually an HDR pano of the moon shot with a Canon 550D through a Meade LX90 8" telescope. It has a fixed F-stop of F10. The equivalent DSLR lense would be right around 2300mm. It was taken just before sunset.

I have debated whether or not to enter this shot, it doesn't have the typical wow factor that is generally needed on this site for an entry to score well on this site but I really like the subtlety of it. I chose to keep the statue in shadow for 2 reasons. First I wanted the focus to be the over exposed moon and flare and Second I wanted the viewer to have to stop and really look at this to see all there is.
