Can you explain how you achieved the ghosting and the selective blurring without using photoshop. I don't doubt you I would like to know because I don't know how to do that.

Hi Nator, first of all i used 3 different thickness of guitar strings tangled on each other. I also used a macro lens with f3.5, placed approx~ 7cm close to the focus point and set center weighted averaging for the metering on the camera. Snap it with 1/2++(can't remember) shutter speed, thats it. I believed the variants of dof (ghosting) existed because of the different thickness of the strings and that 'selective blurring' is coz of the metering and lighting. Thank you.

I have been a photographer for over 20 years and this is the most interesting use of dragging the shutter I have seen in a long time. Very Nice Image!!!

Somehow i find it Photoshopped ..as the reflections on the Curls shows Sunset yellow and the Sky is Blue... good Though .

No. It is not photoshopped...and it is no sunset.The curls are paint with glossy orange....and the reflections are from the afternoon sun! It is ok now?

Two flash units bounced into umbrellas, apprx 1 meter either side of the camera, and of course a tripod.
