Time Lapse - Photography Contest

Goal:

In this contest, your goal is to make a long exposure photo. The exposure time can be freely chosen and the subject material can be whatever you believe will make a great timed image.
In your description - post your chosen exposure time. ( suggested by: animmax )

rrhall: first off, depending on the speed of a subject 1-2 seconds would be considered a long exposure. a 1/2 second is "long exposure" for portrait, 1/30th of a second is a long exposure for a golf swing...its all based on the speed and distance covered by a subject. Second I agree that time lapse is not the same...8 seconds of a football stadium showing no motion is not time lapse photography...the whole purpose is to get a sense of time passing, regardless of the length of the exposure (2 years and 4 days ago)

animmax: Actually when I made this contest suggestion it specified 3 different exposure times to avoid this issue. (2 years and 3 days ago)

itsmymoment: I guess this is the sort of thing that happens when the contest title suggests one thing and the description impies something different or is vague...The suggested exposure times should have been included and for certain if the exposure should show or imply movement... adeincyprus: at the moment, we have a mish mash of time lapse and long expo shots........two different types of shot..........so just what is this contest about.......I will hold off entering anything until a ruling has been made, I don't want to waste a good shot................. MaRkSqUiRrEl: Isnt time lapse a series of photos shot automatically with a timed shutter and then put back together in order with movie/annimation software to produce a fast motion video?? Like rotting fruit or a catapillar turning into a butterfly. (1 year and 365 days ago)
