Oval stroked with gradient, dodged & burned.

Warped to shape.

Stem made with oval selection filled & warped.

Many, many, many, many (did I say many?) strokes of line tool.

Lots of dodge & burn.

First shroom copied, warped, color shift.

Arc made by overlapping 2 circles & deleting the bigger one. This will be used as a template to create the grass layer;.

Lots of grass blades made by duplicating the original, warping to make lots of shapes, and individually coloring all the grass blade layers.

Making the colored spots on the mushrooms by selecting areas with lasso tool and using Selective Color and Hue/sat.

Making the small mushroom. Simple oval fill which will be altered soon.

Getting the shape right.

Same process as before for the stem, lots of dodge & burn.

Basic grass transformed in various ways: Scale, distort, warp, color variation... Now I've got my grass layer.

Ladybug dodged & burned, many small tweaks.

Now she's on the shroom, shadow added.

Sky added, with just a tiny touch of render clouds at low opacity. I basically hate render clouds, but as an adjustment layer at very low opacity they add a bit of texture.

Layer copied, adjustment layer Multiply @ 40&%.
