Because the PXLEYES logo was required I started with them!

I found the Source image of The Last Supper, added the toons into the image, positioned and cropped them to make it look like they are behind the people in the painting. Also added grain filters and blur filters to attempt the best match possible with the Source. Added a bit of blue to make them stand out too...

The other requirement for the contest was size...The source is a long landscape so i had to attempt to replicate the building the painting was in to extend the image to the required size. Including trying to keep accurate perspective.

Continuing to add more of the building in perspective both top and bottom. The final is blended with the healing brush, dodge, burn tools, also more grain filters applied.
