Removed the background from the bulb.

Duplicated the bulb and positioned, scaled and sheared the bulb layers over each of the 18 eggs in the carton.

Created layer masks for all the bulbs.

Using blending options, created a coloured light bulb.

Eighteen coloured light bulbs!

Increased canvas size and added the closed egg carton picture. This was colour matched and blended.

Added coloured bulbs to this as well in the same way.

Masked the cartons and darkened & blended the background.

Added coloured fall off from the bulbs to the cartons and the ground with a regular brush. A slight pattern was given to the ground using blending options. Depth of field was also simulated by creating a flat copy of the layers, masking this and then applying varying degrees of lens blur filter.
