A Work in Progress: little man

make a selection with the pen tool then cut out the background

drag 'man' layer into background pic, position and scale

step 5 of 10

duplicate 'man' layer, free transform, clone stamp to position their reflection properly then add gaussian blur

step 6 of 10

select eraser tool, choose a large brush with low opacity to fade away the reflection

step 7 of 10

Duplicate "man" layer again....Select "man copy 2" layer then press the Command, Shift, Delete keys simultaneously creating a silhouette for the shadow. Add gaussian blur, reduce layer opacity then free transform -warp

step 8 of 10

Make a selection then cut out selected area.

select "man" layer...
Tip-hold down Command key while clicking on the 'Create New Layer' icon, this will automatically position the new layer below the current layer.
Then airbrush some shadowing on "layer 1"

step 10 of 10

Select "man" layer then touch up the highlights and shadows with the Dodge/Burn tool.
